At Explore NZ we don't just enter awards for the sake of it.
We hope that some of the awards are recognition for trying to be responsible in reducing our impact on the pristine environment that is New Zealand.

2011 Westpac Northland Business Excellence Awards
Explore NZ is delighted to have won two awards at the 2011 Westpac Northland Business Excellence Awards held in Whangarei last Friday 28th October.
The awards won were the ‘Destination Northland Excellence in Tourism Award’ and the ‘Northland Regional Council Sustainable Business Award’.
The awards saw more than 45 finalists competing across 11 business categories.

Designed to encourage, recognise and celebrate outstanding business achievement, the Awards are highly regarded and well supported by the business community.
Explore NZ won the Gold Award in Tourism & Hospitality.
2010 Tourism Industry Association New Zealand Awards - Winner 'Visitor Attraction and Experience Award' (large)
The 2010 Tourism Industry Awards focus on and celebrate inspirational stories in our industry being achieved through the successful application of innovation.
Innovation is what Explore NZ has built its success on.
From our foundation in 2000 with a world first, taking people sailing on an America's Cup yacht, establishing an ecological restoration programme, 'Project Island Song', through to last year introducing bio-fuel across the entire fleet, the business continues to evolve.
2010 EECA (Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority) Awards – Finalist (Highly Commended)
The EECA Awards celebrate organisations and individuals who have demonstrated excellence and innovation in energy efficiency or renewable energy projects.

Two of our sailing adventures tied for first place! 'On the Edge' operates out of Pahia in the Bay of Islands and the America's Cup yachts are based in Auckland.
